New Committee Chairs will be receiving their resource binders at the conclusion of the meeting.

 

 

Postponed: Book Club

The Payne County Democrats' monthly Book Club meeting has been postponed. More details pertaining to the new date will be announced at the general meeting this coming Thursday.

As a reminder, this month's novel is A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith.

Event Highlight: Unity Picnic

Special thanks to those who attended yesterday's Unity Picnic organized by the OSU College Democrats. 

HD34 Rep. Trish Ranson and SD21 candidate Robin Fuxa were in attendance and gave speeches on the importance of the elections this November and the need for continued civic engagement.

The City of Stillwater is developing a new Comprehensive Plan. A Comprehensive Plan establishes a vision for the next 10 to 20 years of a City's growth and guides decision making for policy and public investment addressing: 

  • Land Use 
  • Transportation and Mobility 
  • Housing and Neighborhoods 
  • Economic Development 
  • Community Character, Arts and Culture 
  • Infrastructure and Public Facilities 
  • Resilience 

All of the goals articulated within the Comprehensive Plan will be informed by the ideas and input of those who live, work, go to school or have fun in Stillwater. You can find more information and take the survey here.
