For this year’s Oklahoma General Election, in-person absentee voting will be conducted on the following dates and times:
Friday, October 29, 2010, 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 30, 2010, 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Monday, November 1, 2010, 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
The Election Board has sample ballots in pdf format on its web site covering the races for federal, legislative, state and county offices. There is also a sample ballots for the state questions that appear on the back of the candidate ballots.
In each category, voters may cast their votes for a straight party Democratic ticket by completing the arrow at the top of each category next to the rooster. This will cast a vote for all Democratic candidates under that category, but it’s important to mark the arrows above all three election categories because your vote will not count where you do not mark your ballot. Also, remember mark the arrows next to the judge retentions as they are not part of the straight ticket vote.
If you need help getting to the election board or to your polling place, please call Payne County Democratic Headquarters at (405) 533-5310 and we will try to get someone out to help you to get the polls. Voters who have physical disabilities may also be able to vote by phone or with assistance from county election officials. For more information, review the information at the Oklahoma State Election Board or contact the Payne Country Election Board at (405) 747-8350.
