Occupy Stillwater Meeting

Hello all,

The Occupy Stillwater Group will have a meeting this Wednesday at 6pm at the courthouse. The session will inform anyone who would like to attend about the upcoming events and standing of Occupy Stillwater.

Keith Smith, a member of Occupy Stillwater, came to the Payne County Dems this evening to give the Democrats more information about their movement. Smith explained that Americans are exhausted from corporations draining our economy and, as a result, our people deprived of jobs.

If you are able to attend, please come and help out the individuals of Occupy Stillwater!

Social This Friday

Don’t forget we have our biweekly social this Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

We now have an Apple TV in the headquarters and I’ll be showing everyone how they can send their photos, videos and more from their iPhones to our HDTV.

We hope to see you there. As always, bring something, someone or yourself.

National Update

I think that diverging the local public’s opinion about the Tea Party agenda will help persuade our voters that Democrats are the way to go.

Newt Gingrich frightens me– as the other republican candidates do– but him more-so then the others.

Islam in America

This article was published just after the Islamophobia Conference on campus. This could be a good way to help Americans overcome fear.

Check out this link. It brought me to tears.

It’s All Politics: Candidates and Economy

It will be really vital to push for Obama in 2012. I know most of you have probably seen some of the frightening candidates running in the Republican sect. I found this article about Herman Cain recently to be quite alarming. The title is “Lawyer: Cain May Have Violated Confidentiality Of Harassment Settlement.” Moreover, this came out today: Lawyer: One of Cain’s Accusers Wants Her Story Told.

On a lighter note, the economy is on the rise.
