Send Payne County Sanity Riders Off to the Rally

On Friday, October 29, 2010, 121 Payne County Sanity Riders will depart Stillwater in three buses to attend the Rally to Restore Sanity in Washington, D.C., the following day. Let’s all turn out and send them off a happy journey to the nation’s capital.

The buses will depart from Strickland Park, across Main from the Payne County Democratic headquarters, 302 N. Main, at 8 a.m. Riders should be at the departure point between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m., Friday morning. The Sanity Riders will be joined on their journey by a CBS reporter, Ryan Corsaro, who will be filing stories to be aired on the CBS Early Show on Friday and Saturday mornings. He will be at PCD headquarters Thursday afternoon interviewing people who will be traveling with the group.

Vicke Adams and Ron Honn, who organized the trip, want to thank all the volunteers that staff the PCD Headquarters who have taken time to help collect money and forms for the Road Trip to the Rally to Restore Sanity. They also especially wanted to thank Will Paine, Fred Loftiss, Trish Emig and Kevin Gerfen who donated money to make it possible for four OSU students to join us. The four OSU students are Laina Davidson, who assisted with the fair video, Eric Smith, President of the OSU Young Dems and Payne County Vice-Chair, Antonio Laster, headquarters volunteer and Aaron Hale, whom we haven’t met yet.
